Intellect GTB, the organisation behind the world’s first comprehensive global transaction banking solution, has appointed Mikael Estvall to the role of Senior Business Development Manager, Nordics & Baltics.
Mikael joins iGTB from Misys, where he was Nordic & Baltic Sales Manager. At Intellect he will oversee iGTB’s operations throughout Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Mikael will be based out of Stockholm, Sweden and would be reporting to Mark Wilson, Business Head, Europe.
He brings over 25 years’ worth of international experience in financial services, previously holding sales, training, product management, marketing and divisional management roles at Misys, NASDAQ OMX, Reuters and several fintech firms. His responsibilities have ranged from acting as training manager for Reuters’ kondor+ trade and risk management system, and building the largest electronic trading system for FX swaps, to leading innovation at NASDAQ OMX with initiatives such as OTC clearing of interest rate swaps and related products.

Mikael originally studied economics, politics and computer science at Uppsala University (Uppsala), before gaining further economics and business management qualifications from Linköping University (Linköping) and IHM Business School (Stockholm).
